5) Electric Zoo Festival

Electric Zoo is an electronic music festival that takes place in New York City in September. The lineup is huge, and tickets are pretty much impossible to get.
The timing for Electric Zoo is September 2-4, and it takes place at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. The festival grounds are spread across an area of 117 acres (48 ha) — the largest music festival grounds in the United States.
Over two days, some 400 artists perform over 12 stages playing hip hop, house, techno, electro house, trance, and drum and bass. Attendance at the festival has ranged from around 50,000 to about 100,000 over the past few years as attendance has grown with each passing year since its inception in 2009.

Lollapalooza is a 4-Day music festival happening July 28-31, 2022 at historic Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, USA. (115/150 chars) The Lollapalooza music festival was created by Perry Farrell and Jane’s Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell.
In 1991, Farrell attempted to start an annual alternative rock festival in Chicago that would feature many of the alternative rock groups that were emerging at the time including Sonic Youth, R.E.M., Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and Alice in Chains among others.
But due to a lack of funding from city officials and neighborhood groups who thought it would be too large for the area; Lollapalooza was pushed back until 1994 when it moved to its current location in Grant Park on Lake Michigan’s North Shore.
It then became an annual event with its first year being held from August 1–3 1995 before expanding to four days from 2004 onwards (three on Fridays). This expansion allowed the festival to attract more mainstream acts. The event is now held at the same location, but at a later date in July.
The 2015 festival was headlined by Prince (performing just before his death), and featured Liam Gallagher, Chance the Rapper, Jack White, and Skrillex as headliners on Friday night; with Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, and Muse among others on Saturday night; and The Killers performing on Sunday.
Lollapalooza has continued to expand over the years: In 2010 it introduced a two-day format where tickets could be purchased for either Friday or Saturday of the festival.
This expanded capacity allowed Lollapalooza to draw in larger crowds than ever before. In 2011 it added an additional day which brought the total up to 5 days including 3 full days of music performances on 2 stages across 4 stages throughout Grant Park with General Admission tickets selling out within minutes leading up to that year’s festival.
